Road markings will be applied in Northern Cyprus on the Degirmenlik–Girne and Çatalköy–Tatlısu sections.
The Department of Highways has announced that road marking works will be carried out on two sections of roads in Northern Cyprus in early October.
On the Degirmenlik–Girne mountain road, between the Eryülkü and Acapulco junctions, the works will take place from October 2 to 5. On the main Çatalköy–Tatlısu road, between the Acapulco, Esentepe, Tatlısu, and Geçitkale junctions, works are scheduled from October 4 to 8. In all cases, work will be performed at night between 02:00 and 06:00.
The department emphasized that the works concern horizontal road markings (painting of road lines). To ensure driver safety and the protection of property, the Department urged motorists to observe speed limits, drive carefully, and follow traffic signs and controllers.
The expected practical outcome of the works is to improve the visibility of road markings and enhance traffic safety on these road sections in Northern Cyprus.
