In Northern Cyprus, chili peppers and carrots with pesticides were found
The Ministry of Agriculture of the TRNC announced the results of the inspection of imported and domestic vegetables and fruits for the week from January 5th to 11th. Non-recommended plant protection agents were detected in domestic chili peppers and carrots.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture's statement, all 24 samples of imported products were clean, while non-recommended plant protection agents were found in two out of 30 samples taken from domestic produce.
After the inspection, the red chili pepper owned by Ali Tatu from Famagusta and the carrot owned by Metin Ikizoglu from the village of Doganci were destroyed.
