An AI Hackathon with a prize fund of 150,000 TL has been announced in Northern Cyprus

In Northern Cyprus, a large-scale hackathon dedicated to developing digital solutions based on artificial intelligence is launching. As Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) reported, the event will take place on December 5–7 in Esentepe, on the territory of Pearl Island, with the support of Cyprus Constructions and Californian Restaurant.
The hackathon is open to students from all universities in Turkey and Northern Cyprus. The format предусматривает the participation of 10 teams of 3 people each, who will work on projects for the digitalization of the construction sector using AI.
The total prize fund is 150,000 TL, which will be distributed among the winning teams.
Applications are accepted until December 2 on the official website.
After the preliminary selection, the list of participants will be published on December 3–4.
The organizers confirmed that all accommodation and meals during the hackathon will be fully covered by the sponsors.
Participants will spend three days in a tech-camp format, where they will be able to work on their projects and meet industry representatives.
EMU Rector Hasan Kılıç emphasized that artificial intelligence and digital transformation are key areas of the university’s development: «This hackathon is an important step toward giving young people the opportunity to solve real industry challenges and prepare for the technologies of the future.»
