In Northern Cyprus, heavy rainfall is expected: a storm warning has been issued

The TRNC Meteorology Department has announced an emergency warning due to heavy rain and downpours. Over the next two days, heavy precipitation is expected in Northern Cyprus.

According to meteorologists, the weather warning will be in effect in the country from noon on Monday, April 8, until 18:00 tomorrow.

The message states that heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected in some areas of the region. Particularly heavy precipitation is forecasted in the vicinity of Kyrenia, Famagusta, and in the central districts of the country.

It is worth noting that besides heavy rain and thunderstorms in Northern Cyprus, two more warnings from meteorologists are in effect: due to low levels of ultraviolet radiation and the likelihood of forest fires.

People with normal skin can be exposed to the sun for about 15 minutes. However, it is strongly recommended to wear hats and sunglasses.

The heat that persisted in the country all last week has subsided, and the air temperature has returned to average seasonal values.
