A nationwide tree planting campaign will be held in Northern Cyprus
On April 1, 2026, a nationwide tree planting campaign will take place in Northern Cyprus, occurring simultaneously in different regions of the country.
The event is organized by the initiative of the Presidency with the participation of the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, the Forestry Department, and municipalities. Information support for the campaign is provided by Telsim.
The start of the event is scheduled for 09:30.
Participation in the campaign is free. Saplings for planting have been prepared by the Forestry Department, and municipalities have already delivered them to the planting sites.
The organizers also ask participants to clean up their trash to avoid environmental pollution.
It is noted that transport costs must be covered by the participants and organizations independently.
