“Global Congress 2026” held in North Cyprus: format expansion to Russia in preparation

For the first time, the international “Global Congress 2026” took place in North Cyprus, bringing together representatives from the real estate, investment, and construction sectors of various countries. The event served as a platform for discussing cooperation and new industry projects.

The congress organizer, Cafer Gürcafer, President of the Cyprus Turkish Building Contractors Association (KTİMB), stated at the opening that the event's format is focused on practical results and the development of real business connections.

“We strive to create a structure that operates without excessive politicization and is aimed solely at results,” he noted, emphasizing that the congress is designed as a platform for direct business interaction.

According to Gürcafer, investors from Russia participated in the event, and the initiative itself is already being considered for expansion. He announced plans to organize a similar and even larger-scale congress in Russia in the coming months.

Separately, he emphasized that such initiatives could contribute to the expansion of international cooperation not only in construction and real estate but also in related fields such as energy and ecology.

The organizers also stated that the construction sector of North Cyprus, despite economic difficulties and external restrictions, continues to strengthen its positions and demonstrates resilience. According to them, this creates a foundation for the further development of international projects.

Gürcafer added that the congress could become a “bridge” for long-term cooperation and overcoming restrictions in business contacts, while also expressing hope for continued dialogue with international partners.
