16-year-old girl missing in Northern Cyprus

The police of Northern Cyprus announced a search for 16-year-old Ayşe Hayat Yazar, whose whereabouts have been unknown since 27 September 2025. The report about her disappearance came from the girl’s family, who said they were unable to contact her.
According to the police, Ayşe went missing on the Gazimağusa–Karpaz road, in the area between the city of Gazimağusa and the Karpaz Peninsula. After receiving the complaint, law enforcement launched an investigation and organized search operations.
Official sources confirmed that the case has been classified as the disappearance of a minor. The police appealed to citizens to provide any information that could help establish her whereabouts.
At present, the search is ongoing, but there is still no information about where the girl may be.
