Small game hunting season begins in Northern Cyprus

Explosives inspector Ali Akgürcü reported that the small game hunting season in Northern Cyprus starts on Sunday. According to him, the country has a sufficient selection of permitted cartridges — both locally produced and imported brands, fully compliant with legal requirements.
During the hunting season, police and customs services will increase inspections in hunting areas and at border checkpoints. The control will focus on ensuring safety, preventing violations, and protecting hunters' lives.
Akgürcü emphasized that hunting is considered a sporting activity, so adherence to established rules and safety measures is mandatory for all participants.
