Two vehicles collide on Girne – Tatlısu highway: three injured
A road accident occurred yesterday morning on the Girne – Tatlısu main road. Three people were injured as a result of the collision.
According to police, the accident happened around 06:30 at the 15–16 kilometer marker. A panel van driven by 36-year-old Muhammad Mubashir, traveling towards Girne, lost control, crossed into the oncoming lane, and collided with a minibus driven by 61-year-old Özcan Ölmez.
The collision resulted in injuries to the van driver Muhammad Mubashir, the minibus driver Özcan Ölmez, and a passenger in the minibus, Timothy Ifeanyi Opara.
The injured were taken to Dr. Akçiçek Hospital in Girne, where they received medical treatment. According to doctors, the injuries were not serious, and all three were discharged after treatment.
Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
