Found someone else’s bank card and went shopping — detained by police

In Northern Cyprus, a man was detained for using a found credit card for purchases. According to police, the suspect discovered a lost card and instead of returning it to the owner or the bank, used it to pay at retail locations.
After the card owner noticed unauthorized charges and reported to the police, law enforcement quickly identified the suspect. The man was detained, and an investigation into the illegal use of a payment card has been launched.
The police remind: even if a card is found, any transactions with it are considered a criminal offense.
