Don't forget to change your clocks: this weekend, Northern Cyprus will switch to daylight saving time
On the night of Sunday, March 31, the Republic of Cyprus will switch to daylight saving time. Clocks will need to be set forward by 1 hour.
According to the Council of Ministers' Resolution on daylight saving time published in the “Official Gazette,” on Sunday, March 31, at 03:00, clocks will be set forward by one hour to 04:00. According to the same decree, daylight saving time will be observed in the country until October 27, 2024.
"The Council of Ministers of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus will issue an order for the transition to daylight saving time in accordance with paragraph (l) of Article 2 of the Daylight Saving Time Law. This Order is called the 2024 Daylight Saving Time Transition Order. Clocks are set forward by one hour at 03:00 on Sunday, March 31, 2024, and are set back by one hour at 04:00 on Sunday, October 27, 2024," the document states.
The order comes into effect on Sunday, March 31, 2024, and ceases to be effective on Sunday, October 27, 2024.
