The Statistical Office has begun updating addresses in Northern Cyprus
On 2 December 2025, the Statistical Office of Northern Cyprus began updating addresses across the country.
According to the agency, as part of the ongoing work, 70 staff members will visit all buildings. The goal is to update address data for future statistical studies.
After the address update is completed, on 1 April 2026 the annual Household Budget Survey will begin. As part of this survey, an average of 570 selected households will be visited each month. Daily expenses will be recorded regularly, and household expenditure patterns will be monitored directly.
The collected data is intended to provide a more accurate calculation of the Consumer Price Index. According to the Statistical Office, this approach will allow expenses to be assessed in relation to current conditions.
