New Week in Northern Cyprus Starts with Rain and Thunderstorms: Weather Forecast for August 26
According to the TRNC Meteorology Department, low pressure and cool, moist air in the upper layers of the atmosphere will affect the region on Monday, August 26. Meteorologists are forecasting cloudy weather with showers and thunderstorms.
Air temperatures will remain within the normal climatic range, staying between 32°C and 36°C across most parts of the country. The highest amount of rainfall is expected in the central part of the country.
A strong southwesterly wind is anticipated, but no storms are expected today.
Two weather warnings remain in effect for Northern Cyprus. The risk of wildfires has been reduced to high, and the ultraviolet radiation level has dropped from "very high" to "high."
It's advised to avoid staying in direct sunlight for more than 15 minutes, especially between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM, without taking the necessary precautions.

- Eastern Coast: Famagusta – 33°C, Iskele – 36°C
- Karpas Peninsula: Yeni Erenköy – 34°C
