New Week in the TRNC Starts with Normal Seasonal Temperatures: Weather for August 19
According to the TRNC Meteorological Department, on Monday, August 19, the region will remain under the influence of low pressure combined with hot, humid air. Northern Cyprus is expected to experience mostly clear skies with minimal cloud cover and no precipitation.

Temperatures have returned to typical seasonal norms. The hottest weather today is expected in Nicosia, Ercan, and Geçitkale, where temperatures may reach as high as 38-39°C. Along the northern coast, temperatures will range between 32°C and 36°C. A moderate southwesterly wind is expected, with no storms in the forecast for today.
Two weather warnings are still in effect for Northern Cyprus: the risk of wildfires remains extremely high, and ultraviolet (UV) radiation levels are also dangerously elevated.
People are advised to avoid direct sunlight for more than 10 minutes, particularly between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM, unless proper precautions are taken.
