New Year flights from the TRNC to Turkey: direct flights are noticeably cheaper than connecting ones

Ahead of the New Year, direct flights from the TRNC (Ercan Airport) to Turkey are being sold at very affordable prices — primarily on routes to Istanbul, Izmir, Mersin and Ankara.

A favorable arrangement of weekends makes it possible to plan a short holiday for the dates December 31 – January 4. At the same time, the price difference between direct and connecting flights on some routes reaches 4–6 times.

Flights to Izmir:

For the dates December 31 (departure) – January 4 (return), a direct flight ticket may cost around 2,540 TL, whereas with a connecting flight the price can rise to 11,903 TL.

Flights to Istanbul:

For travel on December 31 – January 4, the minimum offers on the Istanbul route also start at around 2,540 TL (when choosing certain direct options), while in some cases the price can reach 5,676 TL.

Flights to Mersin:

When flying via Çukurova Airport, direct options for the selected dates are priced at around 2,540 TL, while choosing connecting flights can increase the price to approximately 10,465 TL.

Flights to Ankara:

On the Ankara route, direct flights are priced from around 2,642 TL, whereas with connections the cost can rise to 12,202 TL.
