Another death from a tick bite
Another death from a tick bite has occurred in Sivas. A 59-year-old resident of the village of Gülpınar in Sivas’ Central District was bitten by a tick a month ago and sought medical attention at a hospital.
Doctors at Sivas Cumhuriyet University Hospital initially diagnosed him with Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever. However, after a month of treatment, the man passed away yesterday.
Since March this year, the number of deaths from Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF), caused by tick bites, has risen to 11.
