Oguzhan Hasipoglu: the state will support projects aimed at increasing the productive role of women
On January 28, 2026, in Northern Cyprus, representatives of the Mesarya Women’s Association for Agriculture and Arts presented the “Garden of Four Seasons” project to Minister of Labour and Social Security Oguzhan Hasipoglu within the framework of the “Heritage of Cyprus” Agrotourism and Production Center.
According to the presentation, the project aims to contribute to the development of rural areas, increase agrotourism activity, and pass Cypriot agricultural heritage on to future generations. The Association stated that production and processing structures created under women’s leadership are not limited to generating income: they are also intended to strengthen the social status of women and serve as a sustainable, replicable development model.
During the meeting, Minister Oguzhan Hasipoglu congratulated the Association on the initiative and emphasized the importance of more active participation of women entrepreneurs in production processes for the economy and social structure. According to him, the authorities support any initiatives aimed at increasing women’s productive capacity.
For residents of Northern Cyprus, the implementation of the project may mean additional employment opportunities and the creation of local sources of income, as well as strengthening the role of women in the development of rural communities.
