Severe Weather Alert: Storm Warning Issued for Northern Cyprus on January 22
The Meteorology Department of the TRNC has announced that Northern Cyprus will experience low atmospheric pressure accompanied by cold, humid air on Wednesday, January 22. Forecasters are predicting cloudy skies, heavy showers, and strong winds throughout the region.
Air temperatures are expected to rise slightly, reaching 2–3°C above the seasonal average, and will range between 12–18°C in most areas.
The wind will blow from the northeast, starting at moderate strength but with gusts reaching storm intensity.
A storm warning has been issued for Northern Cyprus, with winds of up to 7 on the Beaufort scale expected to continue until 8:00 a.m. tomorrow, January 23.
