Rain and Thunderstorms Expected in Northern Cyprus on Tuesday Afternoon
Rain and thunderstorms are set to arrive in Northern Cyprus on the afternoon of Tuesday, May 13, according to the TRNC Meteorology Department.
Forecasters report that a low-pressure system, combined with cool, moist air in the upper atmosphere, will bring unstable weather conditions to the region. Skies will be partly cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms expected later in the day.
Temperatures have returned to seasonal averages, ranging from 23°C to 30°C across most areas.
Winds will be blowing from the southwest at moderate strength, occasionally increasing to strong gusts.
The Meteorology Department has issued three weather warnings for the day:

Strong winds are expected, with gusts reaching up to 7 on the Beaufort scale.

There is an increased risk of wildfires due to dry conditions.

The UV index is high — residents are advised to avoid direct sun exposure for more than 15 minutes.

Yenierenköy – 23°C
