The Sakirpasa Airport in Adana, Turkey, has ceased passenger operations. The final flight from this airport was to Ercan in Northern Cyprus.
Over the past weekend, Pegasus Airlines operated the last flights from Adana to TRNC. Havaş Ground Handling bid farewell to passengers with the final Pegasus flight from Sakirpasa Airport to Ercan, marking the event with a farewell photograph before boarding and departure.
Opened in 1937, Sakirpasa Airport has been closed to passenger flights following the inauguration of Çukurova International Airport in southern Turkey on August 10.
Flights from Adana to the TRNC have been transferred to Çukurova Airport, where they will operate five times a week.
