The Prime Minister of the TRNC has returned to the island after a visit to Turkey. Ünal Üstel discussed the implementation of the economic cooperation agreement with Turkey and new projects to be carried out in Northern Cyprus during his visit to Ankara.
During his one-day working visit to the capital of the Republic of Turkey, the head of government met with Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz and Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
Upon returning to the island, the Prime Minister announced that "new projects will be implemented."
Ünal Üstel emphasized that the TRNC government continues its work despite the start of the National Unity Party congress process. This includes ongoing studies conducted in accordance with the Economic and Financial Cooperation Agreement signed with Turkey.
"Today, I took a break from the congress work and made a working visit to Ankara to assess the progress made on these issues. We had a very productive session: we met with Cevdet Yılmaz and Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and discussed the current agenda. I would like to share the good news that we will soon take new steps, which have not been taken for years, and implement new projects," Ünal Üstel summarized his trip.
