Carob producers receive state support payments

The Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources has paid subsidies to carob (locust bean) producers in order to support the sustainability of production.
As reported by the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources of the TRNC, farmers who sold their produce to the Binboğa Yem cooperative and/or private companies received support amounting to 10 lira per kilogram.
In total, 683 producers received payments after delivering 698,036 kg of carob. The total amount of support reached 6,980,360 Turkish lira.
Farmers can collect the funds due to them through the Cooperative Central Bank and its branches.
