283 Foreign Nationals Granted Permission to Purchase Property in the TRNC
The Council of Ministers of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) has granted permission for 283 foreign nationals to purchase property. The decision was officially published in the Official Gazette.
According to the document, the Council of Ministers issued the permits in accordance with Law No. 52/2008, titled "On the Acquisition of Immovable Property and Long-Term Leasing (Foreigners)." A total of 283 foreign citizens were granted the right to acquire immovable property.
The permits were granted on the condition that the properties being purchased are free of any encumbrances.
Notably, the document does not specify the nationalities of the foreign citizens who received permission to purchase property in Northern Cyprus. In similar documents issued in the past, the breakdown of nationality—such as how many were Turkish citizens and how many were citizens of other countries—was typically included.
It is worth mentioning that a similar permit was granted to 423 foreigners in late August.
