350 Foreign Nationals Approved to Purchase Property in the TRNC
The TRNC Council of Ministers has approved property purchase permits for an additional 350 foreign nationals. The decision was officially published in the Official Gazette.
- "In line with Law No. 52/2008 on the Acquisition of Immovable Property and Long-Term Leases (Foreigners), the Council of Ministers has granted permits for the acquisition of immovable property to a total of 283 foreign nationals."
The approval is contingent on the purchased property being free from any encumbrances or legal restrictions.
Interestingly, the document does not specify the nationalities of the foreign nationals who received approval to purchase property in Northern Cyprus. In earlier decisions, it was common to see a breakdown indicating how many were Turkish citizens and how many were from other countries.
For context, at the end of November, a similar decision granted property purchase permits to 423 foreign nationals.
