Six public beaches will open in Famagusta from May 15th
From May 15th, six municipal public beaches will open in Famagusta. The mayor of the city is confident that the country's most beautiful beaches are within municipal boundaries.
Mayor Suleyman Uluçay announced the opening of public bathing places in Famagusta on his social media page.
According to the mayor, Glapsides Beach, Palm Beach, Deryneia Beach, Karakol Beach, Varosha Closed Beaches 1st Point, and Varosha Closed Beaches 6th Point will start serving the public in full force from May 15th.
The mayor added that the municipality will continue to work jointly with all interested institutions and organizations to ensure quality services at affordable prices for the population at all six municipal beaches during the summer season of 2024. This will make the sea in the region accessible to all who wish to enjoy it.
Suleyman Uluçay thanked the command of the Cyprus Turkish Peace Forces and security forces for permission and support in using Deryneia Beach and two closed Varosha beaches located in the military zone as public bathing places.
It is worth noting that earlier it was reported that a new equipped public beach will appear in the vicinity of Famagusta by summer.
