Northern Cyprus to Begin 2025 Budget Discussions on Monday
The TRNC General Assembly is set to begin deliberations on the 2025 fiscal year budget for the Central Government Administration on Monday, December 9. The Parliamentary Committee on Economics, Finance, Budget, and Planning had previously approved the proposed budget.
The session will start at 10:00 a.m. with an address by Finance Minister Özdemir Berova. Following the presentation of the committee’s report on the proposed budget—amounting to 136.941 billion Turkish lira—a final general discussion will take place.
Once the main budget is debated article by article, the General Assembly will proceed to review the budgets for the Presidency and the Assembly of the Republic. According to prior committee discussions, the Presidency’s proposed budget is set at 619.5 million Turkish lira, while the Assembly’s budget is estimated at 574.345 million Turkish lira.
