Sealed enterprise in Famagusta continued illegal operation
In Famagusta, an enterprise previously sealed for sanitary violations was discovered operating illegally at a new address.
According to the municipality, municipal police (Zabıta) officers conducted an inspection following a tip-off. During the inspection, it was established that the business continued production without the necessary permits and licenses.
The inspection revealed serious violations:
- the production premises did not meet basic sanitary requirements;
- product storage conditions violated the law;
- expired goods were discovered.
Due to the direct threat to public health, inspectors took immediate action. All products were confiscated, and the business owner was issued an administrative fine in the amount of one gross minimum wage. Legal proceedings have also been initiated.
Municipal police officer Harun Öza emphasized that activities endangering public health will not be tolerated, and inspections in the city will continue without interruption.
