Technology Communication Summit to Take Place for the First Time in Northern Cyprus
For the first time, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) will host the Technology Communication Summit. The event, under the auspices of the President of the TRNC, the Ministry of Public Works and Transportation, and the Information Technologies and Communications Department, will take place on January 17, 2024.
The summit is organized by Cypriot entrepreneurs, the Association for Technology Investments (GITYAD), and the Cluster of Communication Technologies (HTK).
Government institutions in the field of communication technologies, leading technology companies and managers, as well as prominent academics from Northern Cyprus, will discuss the prospects of technology companies operating in Turkey and Northern Cyprus. They will also provide a comprehensive assessment of the information technology market.
Additionally, within the summit, experts will evaluate issues related to the development of joint business in the communication and information technology sectors between the two countries. The correct direction for student resources studying in information technology branches at universities in the TRNC will also be addressed.
The Cluster of Communication Technologies (HTK) was established in 2017 by OSTIM with the support of the Information Technologies and Communication Authority (BTK) by bringing together stakeholders in this sector.
The Cyprus Association for Entrepreneurship and Technology Investments (GITYAD) was founded a year ago. It was initiated by experienced businessmen, investors, entrepreneurs, educators, and lawyers. Association members are founders and members of the TRNC Presidential Committee on Entrepreneurship and operate under the auspices of the President.
