TRNC Billiards Team Competes in European Championship in Slovenia
The national team of the Northern Cyprus Billiards Federation is participating in the European Championship held in Slovenia. One Turkish Cypriot has already secured the tournament's first medal.
Mustafa Alnar, a national billiards player, secured the TRNC team's first medal at the European Championship by earning third place in the Straight Pool (14+1) discipline. He lost to his German opponent Joshua Filler in the semi-final match.
The European Billiards Championship is taking place in Podčetrtek, Slovenia, from July 6 to July 16, 2024. The national team of the Northern Cyprus Billiards Federation continues to compete in the "10-ball" discipline at the championship.
Representing the TRNC team are Mustafa Alnar, Onur Altur, Hussein Borankan in the senior category, and Salih Boztuna in the U-23 category. Leading the delegation of Northern Cyprus is Levent Erboy, the president of the TRNC Billiards Federation.
