Northern Cyprus will be covered in dust from Africa until the end of March
The TRNC Meteorology Department has issued an emergency warning due to dust pollution in the air. Fine particles brought to the region from North Africa will linger in the atmosphere until the end of March.
According to meteorologists, dusty weather will prevail in the country from midnight tomorrow until 18:00 on March 31.
"Since dust particles from North Africa are expected to cause air pollution in our region, citizens sensitive to dust are advised to be cautious," the department said in a statement.
Recall that the last time dusty weather was observed in Northern Cyprus was in mid-March when dust was also brought to the TRNC from North Africa.
