Meteorologists have warned of strong stormy winds throughout Northern Cyprus
The TRNC Meteorology Department has issued a warning due to strong stormy winds. It will be very windy across the island until midnight today.
The storm warning will be in effect in Northern Cyprus on May 2nd from 14:00 until 23:59. From today until midnight, stormy wind gusts are expected both on land and at sea.
"Winds blowing from the south and west directions in the seas of our region are expected to strengthen to 7 points, corresponding to stormy conditions," the meteorological service said in a statement.
It is worth noting that two more meteorological warnings are also in effect in Northern Cyprus: there is a high probability of forest fires in the region and a high level of ultraviolet radiation.
It is advisable not to stay under the sun for more than 15 minutes, especially from 11:00 to 16:00, without taking necessary precautions.
