Fatal traffic accident on the road to Ulukışla: 21-year-old woman dies after hitting a tree
A fatal traffic accident occurred in Northern Cyprus, resulting in the death of 21-year-old Gizem Gümüşsoy.
According to the police, the accident happened on December 18, 2025, at around 10:25 on the road to the village of Ulukışla (Ulukışla köy yolu). The young woman was driving the car MU 366 and, according to preliminary information, lost control of the vehicle on a right-hand bend. The car veered off the road and collided with a tree.
Emergency services arrived at the scene. The injured woman was taken to the Famagusta State Hospital, but she could not be saved — she died from her injuries.
The police continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
