AFIK CEO’s Trial Delayed Until June 10
The trial of Simon Mistreli Aykut, CEO of AFIK Group, has been postponed to 9:30 a.m. on June 10. Aykut was arrested in southern Cyprus in connection with the development of property in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) that once belonged to Greek Cypriots.
The hearing was scheduled to continue yesterday at the Criminal Court in Nicosia (south) but was postponed at the request of the defense due to the illness of Aykut’s lawyer.
According to reports, Aykut will remain in custody until the next court date.
