Temperatures to Soar to 35°C: Weather Forecast for Northern Cyprus on May 22
According to the Meteorology Department of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Thursday, May 22, will bring low atmospheric pressure and warm, humid air across the region. Forecasters predict mostly clear to partly cloudy skies with no rain expected.
Temperatures are expected to rise 3 to 5 degrees above the seasonal average, ranging between 28°C and 35°C in most parts of the country. No storms are anticipated.
Winds will blow from the southwest at moderate strength. Two weather alerts have been issued for Northern Cyprus:

There is a high risk of wildfires due to the hot and dry conditions.

The ultraviolet (UV) index is also very high, so it’s advised to avoid direct sun exposure for more than 15 minutes.

• Eastern Coast:
Gazimağusa – 31°C, Iskele – 33°C
• Karpaz Peninsula:
Yenierenköy – 28°C
