Tragedy in Girne: Man Falls from Seafront Wall and Drowns
A tragic incident unfolded in Girne, where a 48-year-old man fell from a wall on the Kordonboyu promenade and drowned in the sea. Although the incident took place over the weekend, the cause of death was only confirmed today.
According to the police, the lifeless body was discovered early in the morning on September 14, around 3:50 AM, near the shore on Kordonboyu Street. The deceased has been identified as Adnan Cebiroğlu, a 48-year-old local resident. Preliminary reports suggest that he lost his balance while sitting on the wall near the beach, falling approximately 4 meters into the sea.
An autopsy performed yesterday revealed that the cause of death was a combination of falling from a height, brain hemorrhage, drowning, and asphyxiation.
The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
