New Sports and Recreation Complex to be Built in Esentepe
The Çatalköy–Esentepe Municipality has signed a cooperation agreement to develop sports infrastructure in the Esentepe area.
The protocol was signed by Mayor Ceyhun Kırok, the director of Cassina Investment Ltd. Eser Sonat, and the head of the Esentepe Kurtuluş Kültür ve Spor Kulübü, İbrahim Beyazbayram.
According to the project, a sports and recreation complex is planned to be created on the territory belonging to the club. It may include:
- an artificial turf football field,
- sports equipment/gym machines,
- walking paths,
- public recreation areas,
- a small number of residential units for athlete accommodation.
The facility is also expected to host sports camps, football tournaments, and youth events. Project coordination and development will be handled by Evergreen Developments Group.
The Mayor of Çatalköy–Esentepe noted that the project will help develop sports in the region and could attract youth teams from foreign clubs for training camps.
