TRNC Ranks 6th in Anchovy Imports from Turkey
The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) has secured the 6th position among countries importing the most anchovies from Turkey.
In September, a significant portion of Turkey's anchovy exports went to France, Belgium, and Germany. Specifically, 72,090 kilograms were exported to France, generating $500,000 in revenue; 32,697 kilograms went to Belgium for $261,812; and Germany imported 23,034 kilograms for $202,284. Following these countries are the USA, Ukraine, and the TRNC.
The top 10 importing countries also include Georgia, the UAE, Iraq, and Canada.
In September 2023, the export of anchovies to 12 countries contributed to a foreign currency influx totaling $1,420,306, equivalent to 300,163 kilograms of product.
