Meat Prices Frozen for Kurban Bayram to Support Citizens
The Association of Livestock Producers and Breeders has announced that it will maintain last year’s meat prices ahead of the Kurban Bayram (Eid al-Adha) celebrations.
In a statement to the Ministry of Finance, Association Chairperson Onat said the decision was made to protect people’s purchasing power and prevent the local economy from shifting toward the Greek Cypriot side due to price differences.
The set prices for the holiday season are as follows:
– Lamb: 300 Turkish Lira per kilogram
– Goat: 290 Turkish Lira per kilogram
– Veal: 200 Turkish Lira per kilogram
– Beef: 180 Turkish Lira per kilogram
It was also noted that a service fee may be added, depending on the agreement between the buyer and the seller.
