Turkish Cypriot Doğukan Ulaç Became Turkey’s 10 km Champion

Doğukan Ulaç won gold at the Turkish Winter Open Water Swimming Championship. The athlete finished first in the 10-kilometre race.
He reported that he improved his previous result by 1 minute and 48 seconds — from 1:53.22 to 1:51.34. This performance became the second fastest time in Turkey’s history overall at this distance.
The season for the Turkish Cypriot swimmer will continue on 27 March at the World Cup stage in Soma Bay, Egypt. Ulaç thanked his girlfriend, family, coaches, sponsors and the Sports Authority for their support.
The victory at the national championship became an important stage of preparation for international competitions.
