Turkey and the TRNC to Conduct Joint Search and Rescue Exercises
Search and rescue exercises, named after the martyr Lieutenant Caner Göneli-2024, will be held in Northern Cyprus. The maneuvers are scheduled for June 9, 10, and 14 and will involve both civilian and military forces from the Turkish Republic and the TRNC Search and Rescue Organization.
The announcement about the exercises was made by Rear Admiral Zeki Aktyurk, press advisor of the Turkish Ministry of National Defense.
These exercises will be conducted in the airspace of the TRNC, its territorial waters, and on the mainland, as well as in international waters within Turkey's search and rescue zone. Participating in the exercises will be Turkish land, naval, and air forces, the coast guard command, TRNC elements, and various civilian institutions and organizations.
