Economic Cooperation Agreement Between TRNC and Turkey to Be Signed Tomorrow in Ankara
An Economic and Financial Cooperation Agreement between Northern Cyprus and Turkey will be signed tomorrow, Friday, in Ankara, covering the period until 2025. Following the summit in Geneva, the TRNC delegation traveled to Turkey’s capital.
The announcement was made by Erhan Arıklı, the Minister of Public Works and Transport, who confirmed that the main terms of the agreement have been finalized. However, some mutual requirements are still under discussion today.
The TRNC delegation in Ankara includes:
- Prime Minister Ünal Üstel
- Deputy Prime Minister Fikri Ataoğlu
- Minister of Public Works and Transport Erhan Arıklı
- Minister of Finance Özdemir Berova
- Other senior officials
Today’s meetings will focus on economic cooperation, transport projects, and financial support between Turkey and the TRNC. The agreement is expected to be signed on Friday.
In addition, representatives from Northern Cyprus will meet today with Turkey's Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy.
