In Bostancı, a car hit a pedestrian: victim in hospital, driver detained

On Thursday morning, a serious road traffic accident involving a pedestrian occurred in the Bostancı area.
According to the police, around 07:30 a passenger car driven by a 65-year-old woman was traveling south and, according to preliminary information, due to driver inattention, hit a 46-year-old woman crossing the road.
The impact caused the car to lose control and it additionally collided with a parked vehicle on the roadside, which was damaged.
The injured pedestrian was taken by ambulance to Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital in Nicosia, where she was placed under medical supervision.
The driver of the car has been detained. Police are conducting an investigation to establish all the circumstances of the incident.
