No serious consequences of heavy rains recorded in Famagusta and Iskele
In Northern Cyprus on 10 December 2025, no serious problems were reported in Famagusta and Iskele due to heavy rainfall, according to a TAK agency correspondent citing Iskele district governor Ertuğrul Toroslu and data from the Famagusta Municipality.
According to information received from Ertuğrul Toroslu, no serious incidents have been observed in the Iskele district. A meeting of the Iskele District Security Council was held this morning with the participation of Interior Minister Dursun Oğuz, during which the situation was assessed.
Ertuğrul Toroslu noted that all institutions are on duty and fulfilling their obligations regarding monitoring and responding to potential emergencies.
The Municipality of Famagusta reported that, aside from minor water accumulation, no situations negatively affecting daily life have been identified.
