Fire Breaks Out at Önder Shopping Mall in Famagusta
A fire broke out early Tuesday morning at the Önder AVM shopping mall in Famagusta, with authorities still working to determine the cause.
According to emergency services, the blaze began at around 7:15 a.m. on April 29. Fire crews and police responded quickly to the scene. Water tankers provided by the Famagusta Municipality and several private companies also assisted in firefighting efforts.
Thanks to the rapid response, the flames were quickly brought under control. Cooling operations are still underway at the site. Investigations into the cause of the fire and an assessment of the damage are ongoing. No injuries have been reported.
