Famagusta inspects street lokma stalls during Ramadan
The Municipal Control Unit (Zabıta) of Famagusta has carried out inspections of street vendors preparing and selling lokma during the Ramadan period.
According to the municipality, inspectors checked for compliance with sanitary standards, as well as the possession of permits and necessary documentation by the sellers.
During the inspections, it was found that most stalls met cleanliness and hygiene requirements, and the sweet-making process adhered to sanitary regulations.
The municipality emphasized that such inspections are conducted regularly and are not limited to Ramadan. Oversight will continue in other sectors related to food production and sales.
Authorities also noted that adhering to sanitary rules is vital for protecting resident health and ensuring safe food consumption.
