In Famagusta, Military Personnel and Their Families Planted 1,500 Seedlings

An environmental tree-planting campaign was held at the Gülseren Eğitim Taburu training battalion. The event involved conscripted sergeants of group 48/6 and junior lieutenant candidates of group 48/5, as well as their family members.
The campaign took place in the morning on the grounds of the military base. About 1,500 seedlings were planted as part of the initiative. The goal was to strengthen environmental awareness and contribute to nature conservation.
The event was attended by the Security Forces Commander, Major General İlker Görgülü, military personnel of the Security Forces Command, new recruit sergeants, officer candidates, and soldiers’ relatives.
During the planting, military personnel and their families worked together, fostering a sense of unity and mutual support. Major General İlker Görgülü personally visited the planting site, spoke with participants, and thanked them for their contribution to the collective effort.
The environmental campaign concluded with a group photo of the participants.
