Attempted Poisoning of Stray Animals Reported in Metehan
A possible attempt to poison stray animals has been recorded in the Metehan area of Northern Cyprus. The animal protection organization Altın Patiler Derneği issued the warning.
According to the organization, pieces of bread allegedly laced with hydrochloric acid were found on the streets. Such baits could pose a serious danger to homeless animals.
The statement noted that the discovered substances have already been destroyed to prevent potential harm.
Activists urged residents of the area to be vigilant and report to the relevant authorities if they notice suspicious objects or attempts to poison animals.
