Illegal food production uncovered in Famagusta

Municipal control officers in Famagusta detained a man who was grilling around 40 cow legs in the yard of his house, violating hygiene regulations.
According to the municipality, the inspection was carried out on Bahriyeli Street following a complaint from residents. Inspectors found that the food was being prepared in conditions that did not meet hygiene and safety standards.
The man claimed he was doing it “for soup,” but officers recorded that he was selling the prepared products. All items found were confiscated, and the inspection materials were forwarded for further administrative action.
Department head Harun Oza stressed that inspections aimed at protecting public health will continue without interruption.
