A fraudster who rented out other people's apartments was detained in Famagusta
A fraudster was detained in Famagusta, who stole things from someone else's apartment in Famagusta and rented it out to others, changing the door locks. He tried this scheme twice.
According to the police press service, in October-November 2023 in Famagusta, a 45-year-old suspect broke part of the lock of the front door of an apartment belonging to a citizen living abroad. Once inside, the attacker stole a washing machine, refrigerator and cooler from the apartment. But he didn’t stop there and rented out someone else’s living space for 150 euros per month.
In addition, it has already been established that the accused, using the same method, entered another apartment, the ownership of which has not yet been established, and, having changed the lock, stole the TV. He also rented out this apartment for 16 thousand Turkish liras per month.
The suspect has been arrested. The investigation is ongoing.
