In Famagusta, a man posing as a minister’s driver fraudulently obtained 1,500 dollars
In Famagusta, a 51-year-old man, identified by the initials Y.G., posed as a minister’s driver, although he was not, and fraudulently obtained money from a citizen.
According to the police, he promised to assist with renting one of the houses belonging to the Department of Settlement and thereby obtained 1,500 US dollars in cash.
After information about the incident was reported to the police, an investigation was launched, during which the suspect was arrested. Investigative actions are ongoing.
